SMM, December 30: Today, some mining enterprises reported that Myanmar ore has now resumed normal imports. However, the ion-adsorption ore market remains inactive, and separation plants still show low purchase willingness.
According to the SMM survey, in January, some raw ore separation enterprises plan to suspend production for maintenance. The demand for raw ore in the market is expected to decline. Moreover, with Myanmar ore already resuming circulation, most industry participants hold a pessimistic outlook on rare earth prices in the future. Under the sentiment of rushing to buy amid continuous price rise and holding back amid price downturn, buyers exhibit low purchase willingness, and ion-adsorption ore prices may show a weak trend.
On December 28, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council released the "2025 Tariff Adjustment Plan," which indicates no adjustments to import tariffs on rare earth-related products. The specific import tariff details for rare earth-related products are as follows:
